KEYT-TV now a part of the NPG family

News-Press & Gazette Company is pleased to announce that it  has completed the acquisition of KEYT-TV, an ABC affiliated television station from Smith Media, LLC as of Friday, November 16, 2012.

David Bradley, NPG Chairman and Chief Executive officer, said “We look forward to operating a top-flight station serving the Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo communities and advancing their interests in this beautiful part of the country.

Mark Danielson, incoming General Manager for KEYT, has been General Manager for NPG’s Idaho properties for more than five-years, said, “I am thrilled to be leading a team of talented individuals at KEYT.  I look forward to serving the communities in our market with a strong commitment to local news and information.”

No immediate changes are planned; however, Danielson says a significant investment in the station’s infrastructure is in the works which he hopes will make a positive impact on KEYT’s viewers across the region.
